The Hungarian Vizsla Tina Trading Club

Tina Trading club is a proud breeder of Hungarian Vizslas in Russia. We breed and sell these wonderful dogs and are ready to share with you our professional knowledge of taking care, raising and training your Vizsla. We can also help you with choosing a puppy, your future best friend.

Breed Description – in Short

Also known as Hungarian Pointers, Vizslas are classified as general utility gundogs, a group that includes those breeds that locate, point and retrieve game all with moderate to excellent efficiency. Among the breeds that share this distinction with Vizslas are German Shorthaired Pointers, Weimaraners, German Wirehaired Pointers, Wirehaired Pointing Griffon’s and Brittanies. Vizslas have an aristocratic air, no doubt owing to their close ties with ancestral nobility. Their streamlined yet strong athletic physique results in light-footed, graceful, polished movements that are rarely duplicated by their bulkier peers such as German Shorthaired Pointers or Weimaraners. “Vizsla” is a Hungarian word meaning “seek” or “investigate”. Vizslas indeed have a keen scenting ability, high intelligence and sensitivity as well. They display an intense desire to please their owners. They readily respond to praise and attention. When these two elements are used as rewards, this breed is relatively easy to train. In fact, Vizslas are so sensitive to their owner’s commands that harsh training methods can stress the dog to the point that training efforts become useless.

About the Club

Tina Trading club was founded in 1996 with the first dog – a Rhodesian Ridgeback Eva, whose home name was Tina. Dogs from our club for many years now have been true to the tradition of Champions. Born in 2006 from two Vizslas brought straight from Hungary: Csokolandi Jegenye + Luppa-Vadasz Gyopar, our Havva soon became everybody’s favorite in the club. She grew up with Ridgebacks and just like them, following the Champion tradition, became a magnificent dog – a winner of various competitions in Russia and other countries (more on her page). In October 2007 together with Viharos Donci (Hungary) she got her first litter. These puppies also met expectations set for their famous parents.

If you’ve decided to purchase your new Vizsla

There are several issues that you must address first:

  • What function(s) you want your Vizsla to fulfill? Do you simply want a pet, companion and/or competitor, or do you want your dog to be able to hunt?
  • Do you want to purchase a puppy or a more mature dog?
  • Do you want a male or a female?
  • How will this new addition affect other pets currently a part of your household?
  • Are you fully aware of costs and responsibilities associated with Vizsla ownership?
  • How much time will you truly be able to devote your new friend?
  • Are you planning to keep your Vizsla indoors or outdoors?
